Security Supervisor
The Security Supervisor will oversee facility security to protect all company assets. The Security Supervisor may also manage and/or implement security protocols related to the storage of confidential information and documents.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Interviews, hires, and trains security staff.
• Oversee the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff
• Prepares and conducts training for new security officers and current staff including training on workplace searches, de-escalation, and related safety and security topics.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provides and/or implements security and security protocols for the museum
• Take proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment to staff and visitors. experience with Security Camera Systems
• Availability to respond to emergency calls 24/7 from the Museum
• Provides specialized security for and monitors access to limited and restricted access areas such as inventory areas, network equipment areas, employee files and confidential records.
• Conducts regular walk-throughs and security inspections for assigned facilities.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the museum, calmly and efficiently
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Provide Museum Security Schedules for upcoming Events during Day or Night
• May have to work an Occasional Event.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Assures that all officers at the museum receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; also includes performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the museum, calmly and efficiently
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Five years of related security experience required.
• Active Class D & G Florida Security License
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 20-40 pounds at a time.
• Ability to traverse various areas of the museum to conduct inspections and plan security procedures.
